  Overthinking is simply the act of thinking about something too much for a very long time, overthinking for a long period of time can cause anxiety, in fact, the studies have shown that overthinking elevates your stress levels, reduces your creativity, clouds your judgment and strips you of your power to make decisions.  When you overthink, thoughts run into your mind in a cycle and you eventually start blaming yourself for things that might never happen. When human minds  overthink,  it can go to any extent for example  you think of a very happy moment that happened or is about to happen in your life and you turn that happy moment into the saddest moment of your life.  Overthinking tires your mind to an extent which only a very extreme physical  exercise can do to your body.
